One morning while watching the World Cup, an Idea struck me to create a cartoon magazine that could blend the drama of football tournament with the timeless lessons of life.
I remember something that had happened years earlier, when in the year 2014, I wrote my novel I M Possible while following the World Cup. Football has always inspired me - not just as a sport but as a mirror of life.
Perhaps this is the reason behind creation of this magazine! But to bring that idea to reality was a difficult task, and suddenly I thought of taking assistance of artificial intelligence and I decided to use AI to create that magazine. I started working on the manuscript and took assistance of AI in copy-editing.
As I started using it, I realised the power of AI. I have written a few books and each one took a great deal of time in typing, editing and correcting. Whenever I had handed over the manuscript to people to read, review, and edit, I often felt bogged down by the sheer number of corrections suggested.
But with AI, something changed. I realised each of my vision could become reality with peace and speed. It is difficult to communicate what one wishes to create. However, with AI I found myself able to do that with lightning speed.
It gave a new kind of power in my hands. I was no longer completely dependent on anyone else to create what I wanted to create, even if the impact of such creation may be limited.
However, at the same time, it created a fear in my mind: what would happen to the jobs of people who are engaged in doing the very work I am getting done through AI.
Then another thought came to me. It would be difficult to fight AI or stop everything being done by AI. Therefore, perhaps, it is better to train our people to learn AI. Instead of becoming its victim, they can leverage its strength, remain relevant to the society and earning a respectable living.
Challenges will continue to emerge and new threats will always loom on the horizon, yet the spirit of humanity will not be defined by such threats, but why it’s ability to learn, create, adapt, and move forward.
As I write this, I feel happy that my love for football combine with my desire to write has culminated in a philosophical magazine for people to see, read and I hope, relish. I am sure it would inspire others to look beyond obvious moments, and create without fear. Every creation has the potential to inspire another. Let this be the beginning of many more such journeys.
